Private Ludlow-style Box
The small wooden box came from Hockley Essex,
but I have no more information on it at present.
It looks like the same style of wooden boxes as made by James Ludlow for private usage.

A wooden Penfold
This beautiful work of art It was made some years ago by a local craftsman called John Suggers in
Wendover Bucks. for the Post Office there.
The Post Office subsequently
moved down the road and this box went with it and was in daily usage untilrelatively recently, but lock problems and suitability made it an
encumberance.
It looked whole load better than the oval modern thing outside but that is progress.
It was used in the past at the Stoke Mandeville Hospital Wheelchair Games in 1993 according to the time plate found inside.
Thanks go to Nalin, the local postmaster, for allowing me to obtain this lovely piece of work.

Wooden Private Letter Box
This box came from Torquay. When I can finds Arthur's notes I'll post the rest of the information!
